ConfianceCloud

Privacy

ConfianceCloud is a portal for sharing compliance information with clients, auditors, and security reviewers. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect about the people who use it and why. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a secure, auditable portal, and we don't use it for anything else.

What we collect

For each portal account: your name, your work email address, and the records the portal creates as you use it — sign-ins and failed sign-in attempts, the pages you view, and the documents you open or download, each with a timestamp and network address. That's the list. We don't ask for anything else, and there is nothing collected about people who merely visit the public pages.

Why we collect it

Two reasons: security and auditability. Sign-in records let us spot misuse; view and download records let us — and our auditors — demonstrate exactly who accessed what, which is the point of a compliance portal. These records are part of our own compliance evidence and are protected against editing or deletion.

What we don't do

No analytics or advertising trackers of any kind. No cookies beyond the single one that keeps you signed in. We never sell personal information, and we never share it except with the service providers that run the portal's infrastructure, who are bound to use it only for that purpose.

Retention

Account and access records are kept for as long as our compliance program requires them as evidence, and are removed when they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Your choices and rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights over your personal information — including the right to know what we hold about you, to request deletion (subject to our legal and audit retention obligations), and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of. Residents of other places are welcome to the same courtesies.

Questions, or want to exercise any of these rights? Contact support@confiancecloud.com and a human will respond.
